BOZAR 2012

Mano de Decker exhibits
at the Palais des Beaux-Arts of Brussels (BOZAR)

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that my anthropomorphic collage
« Lettres à Lucie »
is exhibited at the Palais des Beaux-Arts of Brussels (BOZAR)
from May 11th to June 10th, 2012.

Self-taught, my subjects are always figurative.

I practice in parallel drawing, collage, painting, sculpture in bronze and marble,
without worrying about artistic movements or creations of others.

Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human morphological characteristics to objects.

In my collages I use various papers just like a painter’s palette,
and especially for this collage I used the correspondence found back
of Lucie from the late 19th to mid 20th century.

La Collection RTBF/De Canvascollectie mobilized 8.000 artists of Belgium
who proposed 20.000 works on the whole, in one of the nine partner-museums.
Jurys of experts in contemporary art made there a first preselection
and afterwards a national jury selected the 300 works which will be exhibited at BOZAR.

Already selected in 2010 but with a very different collage,
this is the second consecutive time that my work is shown at BOZAR.
